License Plate Recognition or Automatic Number Plate Recognition is a special form of optical character recognition (OCR).
License plate recognition System includes a type of technology that integrates the software on computer system with camera that captures the images of license plates on vehicles. It creates a database of captured images on computer system. A short video is also recorded for future reference.
Only dedicated LPR cameras meet these requirements and enables computer systems to read automatically the registration number on license plate of vehicles with the highest accuracy under a fraction of a second.
